Let me walk you through it

Hi, I am HONA. Connecting a robot takes four steps and about ten minutes. You only do it once.

1. Get your robot online

Install Tuya Smart or Smart Life on your phone and pair your robot to your wifi there. If your robot came with its own brand app, many of those run on Tuya underneath, but the Tuya app is the one that works here.

Your robot needs wifi where it works. That is the one thing I cannot solve from here.

2. Ask Daithona for a linking QR

Write to the founder through profile chat and ask for the robot linking code. They generate a fresh QR from the Daithona cloud project and send it to you.

Why not a permanent QR on this page? Because linking gives Daithona visibility of that device, so each link is granted on purpose, one person at a time.

3. Scan it from the Tuya app

Open the Tuya app, go to the Me tab, tap the scan icon in the top corner, and scan the QR. Confirm. Your robot is now linked, permanently, until you unlink it.

Only the robot you link becomes operable. Nothing else on your phone is shared: not your camera, not your files, not your other devices.

4. Paste your Device ID here

The founder sends you the Device ID of your robot, a string like eb37079d59cb0d98demf1k. Paste it in My robot and hit Test connection. If it answers with a battery percentage, you are live.

What happens when someone operates your robot

You open a session and stay in control: you power the robot on physically, you see everything through your own camera phone, and you end the session whenever you want. Operators can only drive while your session is live.

Being honest about third parties

Right now commands travel through the Tuya cloud, a Chinese IoT provider, because that is the door your robot already has open. Daithona is building local control so that this dependency disappears. Until then, this is how it works, and you deserve to know it.
